Individuals in grades six through twelve and high school drop-outs or postsecondary stop-outs who are referred or recommended by guidance counselors, teachers, self-referral or by request of a parent may be eligible. Eligibility is determined through an application process. Eligible participants must demonstrate that they are first generation potential college students (neither parent has a four-year college degree). Family income is also a factor in determining eligibility for additional services.

Individuals must live in the Dabney S. Lancaster Community College service area (Buena Vista, Clifton Forge, Covington, Lexington, Alleghany County, Bath County, Northern Botetourt County or Rockbridge County) to become participants in our Talent Search Program.
